چکیده
Supramolecular metal–organic cages, a class of molecular containers formed via coordination-driven self-assembly, have attracted sustained attention for their applications in catalysis, due to structural aesthetics and unique properties. Their inherent confined cavity is considered be analogous the binding pocket enzymes, facile tunability building blocks offers diverse platform enzyme mimics promote organic reactions. This minireview covers recent progress supramolecular coordination cages boosting reactions as reaction vessels or catalysts. The developments utilizations accelerating reactions, improving selectivity are summarized. In addition, successes tandem cascade promoted by discussed.

متن کاملReactions inside nanoscale protein cages.
Chemical reactions are traditionally carried out in bulk solution, but in nature confined spaces, like cell organelles, are used to obtain control in time and space of conversion. One way of studying these reactions in confinement is the development and use of small reaction vessels dispersed in solution, such as vesicles and micelles. The utilization of protein cages as reaction vessels is a r...
متن کاملPorous Organic Cages for Sulfur Hexafluoride Separation
A series of porous organic cages is examined for the selective adsorption of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) over nitrogen. Despite lacking any metal sites, a porous cage, CC3, shows the highest SF6/N2 selectivity reported for any material at ambient temperature and pressure, which translates to real separations in a gas breakthrough column. The SF6 uptake of these materials is considerably higher th...
